Megan Pontarelli is a dedicated community advocate whose passion for service is rooted in her own lived experiences. Originally from Chicago, Megan moved to Florida three years ago alongside her sister, who serves in the military, and quickly found her place in the community she now calls home.

As a single mom—with a lively household that includes four cats, a dog, and a hedgehog—Megan brings resilience, empathy, and a grounded perspective to her work. Her firsthand experience using community resources has shaped her deep commitment to ensuring others have access to the support they need. She understands the life-changing impact of nonprofits because she’s been on the other side of that support. Megan channels that understanding, into purposeful action on the finance team as an Accounting Specialist, devoting her time and energy to organizations that strengthen and uplift individuals and families. With a heart for service and a drive to create meaningful change, she works every day to help build a community where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

UWWF Recovery Fund

Hurricane Isaias has left damage across our community, and many of our neighbors are facing an uncertain road to recovery. Now is the time to come together and help local families begin to rebuild.

United Way of West Florida is working with local organizations to help meet critical needs and support recovery in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties. Your donation to the Emergency Relief Fund will help provide support where it is needed most.

Every gift makes a difference. Together, we can help our neighbors recover, rebuild, and find hope in the days ahead.
